DJ Denny Dutko named exclusive DJ of the Wexford Starlite Car Cruise

This Friday, May 22nd not only marks the beginning of the ninth season of North Way Christian Community's Wexford Starlite Car Cruise presented by Baierl Automotive and Geico, it also is a landmark year for the voice of the Starlite Cruise, Denny Dutko. Denny, who has been with the Cruise since the beginning, had traditionally been the DJ of record at the Starlite Cruise all but the first Friday of each month. That date was always reserved for our late friend RD Summers. With the passing of RD, Denny has moved into the enviable position of the sole DJ of the prestigious Wexford Starlite Car Cruise.

Denny, who has been doing DJ work since he was 14 years old, considers the Starlite Cruise the highlight of his summer. And while we reserve his services for Fridays all summer long, he is also available for other events, especially weddings. He can be contacted at 412-979-2647.

News Radio 1020 KDKA partners with Starlite Car Cruise for 2009

Starting on Opening Day, May 22, 2009, KDKA Radio will rekindle its relationship with North Way Christian Community's Wexford Starlite Car Cruise. KDKA will be on hand nearly every week this summer. Some Fridays there will be a member of the station's on air staff on hand meeting with our guests at the Cruise. A few times during the summer KDKA will even broadcast live from the cruise lot.

On Friday, May 29th evening host Mike Pintek will broadcast his "Pintek Tonight" show live from the Wexford Starlite Car Cruise.

The Starlite Car Cruise and KDKA have a history that dates back to 2005 when KDKA broadcast the "Car Radio" program on Saturday afternoons from 1-3. Starlite Car Cruise's own "Cruisemeister" Jim Zufall was a regular contributor to the program, keeping folks up to speed with all the car cruises in the Western Pennsylvania area.
